I want your photography to be valued and be a good investment. My focus is to document organic moments and passionate emotion you both experience, capture the details that surround you, and give you timeless imagery that you love to look back on.
Why should we hire you for our wedding photography?
Why me? Because I will take care of you like I would my closest friends and family. I will be your family gathering, problem solving, biggest cheerleader of the day. Capturing passionate and real images is so important to me and to do that for you, you need to be relaxed and enjoying YOUR day. We craft a timeline together for your day to be just how you want it to be. You can be confident that I will have everything taken care of regardless of rain, snow, people running late, or whatever else comes. I got you!
What is your photography style?
I'm a documentary type photographer who likes to capture the moments of the day as they happen. There are definitely some posed shots throughout the day, like family images, but there will be quite a few in the final album that you may not have even known were being taken.
How do you deal with awkward couples?
Couples who may seem awkward typically haven't spent much time in front of the camera. My way to fix this is by doing something fun and getting them moving. With small movements and guidance, they will be loosened up and enjoying themselves in no time!
Do you have a second shooter?
I have shot many weddings on my own and don't require a second shooter. However in my premium package I have my assistant/shooter photograph during all the important and main parts of the day.
How many photos do I get?
Every wedding is different and the number greatly varies but roughly 300-500 images is my normal.
Are all the images edited?
Yes. Each image is carefully gone through and selected based on how everyone in the photo looks, photo composition, sharpness, and more. I promise I don't leave out any good ones!
How to know how many hours you need?
Most couples go for the full 10 hours because it includes the getting ready, final dances, and everything in between (which is a ton). If you decide to go with the basic package, it will typically cover a short time before the ceremony to the dances. This usually leaves out the getting ready, bridal party portraits, bridal portraits, groom portraits, day details, and time spent capturing the bride and groom portraits.
How often do we communicate before the wedding?
Once you decide to book, I send you some things to get started. This includes a link to your client portal which will have a questionnaire to gather important info, a deposit to hold your wedding date, and a contract that will need to be signed by both you and I. Then from there we schedule a time that works for both of us to capture an engagement session and those are delivered shortly after. Then it's not until about a month from the wedding that I will send the final invoice and questionnaire to make your day awesome. A week before the wedding we finalize a timeline then it's the big day! I keep in touch and check in throughout.
What happens after the wedding?
Shortly after the wedding, I provide a few sneak peaks. I ask that my clients allow for a 6 week turnaround time for the complete album. It usually doesn't take that long, but during the busy season, things get crazy!
Do you give RAW files?
Like most all photographers, I do not give out RAW files to anyone. They are considered unfinished images. I have carefully gone through all of the images, selected the best ones, and edited them in my style. I provide you with high resolution JPEG files that work great for anything you want to do with them. Print, canvas, web, you name it.
I understand that every budget is different and I'm more than willing to work with you on a payment plan.
